A parasitological survey of 403 specimens of Fissurella crassa Lamarck 1822 (Mollusca: Archaeogastropoda), showed that 80.4% were infected in the gonads, by the digenetic trematode Proctoeces humboldti George-Nascimento & Quiroga 1983 (Fellodistomidae). There are no significant differences in the values of prevalence according to the host's sex. The prevalence was 100% when the total length of the host was 61.9 mm, and the maximum intensity was 92 in male and 107 in female. There are significant differences in the values of mean intensity of infection according to the host's sex. Both, the prevalence and intensity of infection are significant and positively correlated with host's size. The season seems not to affect the intensity of infection, but affects the prevalence.
