The sensitivity of 2 serological reactions, the indirect hemagglutination (IHA) and the indirect fluorescent antibody test (IFAT), was compared in experimental ascaridiasis of non-specific hosts (rabbits) invaded with different doses of Ascaris suum eggs. IHA showed greater sensitivity than IFAT. In 49.4% of the examined samples it was of 1 dilution of geometric series, in 30.3% of the samples by 2 dilutions of geometric series, in 13.1% by 3 dilutions, in 4.8% by 4 dilutions and in 2.4% of the samples by 5 dilutions of geometric series.
