Abstract
Lepidoptera Rhopalocera (Hesperioidea and Papilionoidea) from "Bosco Siro Negri" Integral Natural Reserve and a near early reforestation (Lombardy) (Lepidoptera). The authors report about a research carried out on Butterflies (Lepidoptera Hesperioidea and Papilionoidea) within "Bosco Siro Negri" Integral Natural Reserve and a near early reforestation in the valley of the river Ticino (Pavia, Lombardy, Northern Italy). The study was conducted with qualitative and quantitative samplings during 2004. Forty species of Butterflies, thirty-one species of food flowers for adults and fifty-one species of potential food plants for larvae were found in the studied area. The ecological analysis confirms the naturalistic value of relict wood and shows a strong correlation between Butterfly diversity and composition and structural complexity of the vegetation. Conservation management activities are discussed.
