LED tracking of the red-backed vole Clethrionomys rufocanus bedfordiae

LED tracking of the red-backed vole Clethrionomys rufocanus bedfordiae

Research Bulletin of Obihiro University Series I: 161: 71-74

A small light emitting diode flasher (2.6g) for nocturnal tracking of the red-backed vole Clethrionomys rufocanus bedfordiae was constructed. Several qualities of the components were examined, and attaching methods of the flasher were tested. Voles with the flasher were tracked in the field. The tracking system was used in open habitats.
