On the spiders (Aranei) from the holes of Citellus pygmaeus Pall. in the semidesert zone of the European part of the USSR

Entomologicheskoe Obozrenie, 601: 196-200

Spiders (25 spp.) were found in the holes of C. pygmaeus Pall. in the semideserts of Rostov district and Kalmyk Autonomous Republic. They are divided into 3 groups based on the nature of their association with the holes. The 1st group is represented by the single nidicolous species Dysdera kollari. Species of the 2nd group may live both in the holes and in similar habitats; 11 spp. of the families Theridiidae, Linyphiidae, Micryphantidae, Uloboridae and Amaurobiidae are in this group. They all make webs for hunting. The 3rd group is composed of temporary inhabitants from the families Zodariidae, Lycosidae, Gnaphosidae, Clubionidae, Thomisidae, Salticidae and Mimetidae (13 spp.). These species do not make webs and migrate actively.
