A rapid survey of katydids (Insecta: Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae) of the Foret Classee du Pic de Fon, Guinea

RAP Bulletin of Biological Assessment 35: 47-52, 147-152

This study is the first survey of the katydids (Tettigoniidae) of the Pic de Fon area. 40 species were collected, of which at least 4 are new to science, and 10 are new to Guinea (a 16 % increase). Anoedopoda cf. lamellata savanna population may be distinct from the remainder of the African population. The Pic de Fon katydid fauna has a very high potential for endemicity and should be further investigated.
