Chionodes continuella (Zeller) was found from the alpine and subalpine zones of Mts. Daisetsu range, Mt. Teshio and Mt. Yotei from late July to middle August. Chionodes viduella (Fabricius) was found mainly from the alpine and subalpine zones of Mts. Daisetsu range, Mt. Penkenushi, Mts. Akan-Shiretoko range and Mt. Iwaonupuri from June to July. It was also discovered in June from a sphagnum bog at Sarobetsu, northern part of Hokkaido. Neofaculta taigana Ponomarenko is newly recorded from Japan.
