Influence of pH and temperature on germination energy, germination, root and seedlings hypocotil length of various alfalfa cultivars (Medicago sativa L.)

Influence of pH and temperature on germination energy, germination, root and seedlings hypocotil length of various alfalfa cultivars (Medicago sativa L.)

Poljoprivreda / Agriculture 14(1): 9-14

The effects of the pH of the water solution (4.0 or 6.0) and temperature (10 or 20 degrees C) on the germination, and root and hypocotyl lengths of Croatian lucerne cultivars (Slavonka, Stela and Vuka) under climate chamber conditions were studied. Significant differences among the cultivars (p=0.01 and 0.05) for germination energy, seed germination and hypocotyl length were observed.
