Quality analysis of anthocyanins in plum fruit skin

Quality analysis of anthocyanins in plum fruit skin

Vocarstvo 41(160): 153-157

Anthocyanins are important ingredients of the plum fruit. They comprise numerous plant pigments, belonging to the group of polyphenolic antioxidants, and possessing a marked ability to prevent the appearance of malign, cardiovascular and other illnesses. The qualitative analysis of the anthocyanins of the fruit skin of 30 plum cultivars was done using the method of one-dimensional thin-layer chromatography.
