Quantitative estimations of the thresholds of electrotactic responses in Amoeba proteus

Quantitative estimations of the thresholds of electrotactic responses in Amoeba proteus

Acta Protozool.: 7: 375-382

The ED50 of electrotactic reactions in Amoeba proteus were determined. It was found that the cell responses depended upon the intensity of the DC field effecting the cells but not upon the ionic current passing through the medium. The consequences of it have been discussed.
