The effect of feeding vegetable fat and/or sunflower oil and their mixture on broiler performance, carcass characteristics and chemical composition of main carcass parts: 2 - Chemical composition of main carcass parts

The effect of feeding vegetable fat and/or sunflower oil and their mixture on broiler performance, carcass characteristics and chemical composition of main carcass parts: 2 - Chemical composition of main carcass parts

Egyptian Poultry Science Journal 27(3): 945-967

360 broilers, 1-day-old, were randomly divided into three groups with six replicates each. Groups I, II and III chicks were fed with 5% vegetable fat, 2.5% vegetable fat + 2.5% sunflower oil and 5% sunflower oil, respectively, for 42, 45, 48 and 51 days. Results revealed that the chemical composition of the breast and thigh muscles were significantly affected by the treatment and duration of feeding.
