B-naphthoxy-acetic acid as an inductor of parthenocarpy in tomatoes

B-naphthoxy-acetic acid as an inductor of parthenocarpy in tomatoes

Proceedings American Society Hort Science 40: 387-389

Seedless fruits of John Baer, Valiant, Master Marglobe, Rutgers and Stokcsdale, produced with B-naphthoxyacetic acid were larger than the seeded fruits produced by pollination. Setting as produced by this chemical was also somewhat larger than that produced by open pollination.
