Chemical investigations on Aristolochia bracteata Retz



Indian J Pharm 27(9): 264-265



Ceryl alcohol and [beta]-sitosterol have been isolated from the leaves and fruits of A. bracteata Retz, in addition to aristolochic acid and potassium chloride. The roots contained potassium chloride and nitrate as the major constituents besides the bitter principle, aristolochic acid.
