Chromosome numbers were studied in unselected progenies from Saccharum officinarum (2n = 80) pollinated by S. officinarum, from S. officinarum pollinated by 60- and 80- chromosome clones of S. robustum, and from S. officinarum pollinated by 64-, 80-, 112-, and 128- chromosome clones of S. spontaneum.
