Immunitatsforsch 2: 28-44
The role played by capsular antibodies in immunity against anthrax was examined in rabbits, guinea pigs and mice. The results obtained with rabbits in either active or passive immunization expts. were rather doubtful. The protection of guinea pigs was still less. In mice the passive protection with capsular antibodies was effective in 90% of the animals, while antibodies against the bacterial body proved to be worthless.
