Abstract
A description has been given of a new heterothallic sp. of yeast, Endomycopsis scolyti. The natural habitat of the n. sp. is in the frass or in larvae of adults of Scolytus ventralis and Scolytus unispinosus, 2 spp. of bark beetles which attack Abies and Pseudotsuga, respectively.
