The inter-calving period for buffaloes calving from Dec. to May and June to Nov. were 507 and 429 days, respectively. This difference was significant. In the case of cows there were 3 seasons for calving in relation to the inter-calving period. The inter-calving periods for cows calving from May to June, Dec. to April and July to Nov. were 514, 488 and 464 days long, respectively. In both cows and buffaloes the most favorable season was between July to Nov.
