Measurement and importance of image quality of X-ray image intensifers

The study intends to demonstrate that image intensifier tubes designed to produce X-ray pictures provide criteria for the assessment of their properites. The measuring methods and arrangements were discussed and some technical hints based on personal experience in the construction and operation of such setups were given. We are sure that these methods will be improved in the future and that the present attainments are only milestones on the way towards the goal of sec ring optimum technique in X-ray diagnosis.
