Morbidity rate, morbidity and mortality of leukemia in Poland in the period 1951-1959. II. Morbidity and mortality

Polski Tygodnik Lekarski 19(27): 1023-1025

Central statistic data are analysed and hospitalised morbidity and mortality of leukemia in Poland from 1951-1959 is reported. A statistically significant increase for both morbidity and mortality, was shown. The morbidity was higher among the town population than among the rural one. Geographic differences in the intensivity of morbidity were found, they are probably due to the environment.
