Mulberry tree varieties 6 and 7 of the Georgian Research Institute of Silk Raising and Kartli

Mulberry tree varieties 6 and 7 of the Georgian Research Institute of Silk Raising and Kartli

Shelk 2(29): 8-11

These varieties are characterized by their high yield and by the good feeding qualities of their leaves. There is practically no fruiting in them and they are not susceptible to bacteria. The wide introduction of these varieties commercially will provide the Chinese silkworm (Bombyx mori) with high-quality food and make it possible to increase the number of ready cocoons.
