The identification of morphologically and histochemically identical fat droplets in the amnion epithelium the amnion-fluid, the lumen of the intestinal tract and in the epithelial wall and tunica propria of the small bowels of a 8.7 cm long human fetus, allows consideration of the hypothesis of paraplancentary, amnion fluidbound transport of substances.
