Nature, composition, and properties of the adsorbing complex of solonetz soils

Nature, composition, and properties of the adsorbing complex of solonetz soils

Pochvovedenie 12: 32-41

Particles less than 0.001 mm were separated into three fractions differing in chemical composition, cation exchange capacity and total exchangeable cations. Alkaline cations are in a desorbed state. On the basis of Ca+Mg/K+Na ratio in water extracts, colloidal fraction A: B ratio, pH values, and morphological features a subdivision of soils according to alkalinity (solonetzosity) is suggested.
