Neoplasms in the mammary gland in dogs, their pathology and surgical treatment

The mammary glands of dogs are a frequent site of tumors, which include various histological types of neo-plasms but a large proportion of them are SQrCalled mixed tumors. 7 cases of simple mammary tumors and 15 cases of mixed mammary tumors are reported and the indications and technic of their surgical removal described. Oophorec-tomy causes inhibition of some mammary neoplasms in dogs. The general use of roentgen rays preoperatively or postoperatively in the dog is not recommended.
