Results obtained in Korea during 1927-1930 showed that osmotic pressure of winter crops did not increase between the end of November and the beginning of December, though it did so until then. Thus the cold resistance, especially of wheat, could not be determined by the examination of osmotic pressure although this was possible in some green vegetables. It was concluded that some other factor than osmotic pressure may play a role in cold resistance.
