The average yield of tetraploid red clover (Otofte 4n) for the period 1963-65 was found to be 156 kg/ha compared with 311 kg/ha for the corresponding diploid variety (Otofte semi-late). The yields of both forms of red clover were low, due probably to poor pollination and to seed losses incurred during harvesting.
