Population-density studies on cool-season turf grasses grown in a subtropical climate

Population-density studies on cool-season turf grasses grown in a subtropical climate

Jour Brit Grassland Soc 16(3): 222-225

Five cool-season turfgrass mixtures were grown under two cutting heights and two nitrogen levels. Turfs were sampled for population density each spring and fall for a three-year period, using the coresampling method. Densities of all declined steadily throughout the period in all treatments. With one exception, populations of any one species were at the same level at the end of the study, regardless of the treatment.
