Proteins occurring in crude casein and having molecular weights, respectively, of 98,000, 188,000 and 375,000, are clearly distinguishable from one another by serological reactions. Production of coctoprecipitin specific for a heated antigen and distinguishing it from unheated antigen is recorded. The alcohol-soluble protein of Osborne and Wakeman does not appear to be the same as the acid-alcohol soluble protein having a molecular weight of 375,000.
