Abstract
In Chiba Prefecture there is little or no relation between the tonnage of boat, size of net, number of crew, or kind of fish finder, and the fishing ability of the boat based on relative values for the quantity of catch, number of pursings, and amount of catch per pursing. The statistics fail to show any significant difference in the effectiveness of nets made of cotton, vinylon, or nylon.
