Studies of structural characteristics of roots, stem, and leaves of Zea mays and 8 millet cereals showed Sorghum durra to be more efficient because of longer thicker roots with larger stele and well developed exodermis, stems with more vascular bundles, and leaves with more bundles, schlerenchymatous patches on outer surface and well cutinized lower epidermis.
