Constitutions of curvulin, curvulinic acid and curvulol have been established as ethyl 2-acetyl-3,5-dihydroxyphen-ylacetate, 2-acetyl-3,5-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid and 4-acetyl-5-[beta]-hydroxyethyl resorcinol respectively.
