Studies on the antigenic structure of the 80/81 complex of Staphylococcus aureus 6 Antigenic properties of a polysaccharide-peptide compound
Acta Pathol Microbiol Scand: 143-150
A polysaccharide-peptide compound prepared from Staphylococcus aureus strain 263 has been examined serologically. The preparation produced a specific agar precipitation line and in addition showed complement-binding property. The antigen is widely distributed within genus Staphylococcus. The chemical basis of the serological reactivity of the antigen was not settled.
