Studies on the damping-off disease of cotton in Egypt I. Effect of date of sowing on the control of the disease through the use of the fungicide Granosan

Seed dressing with Granosan at the rate of 0.25% by weight of the dry seed led to a statistically significant increase in percentage survival of seedlings of the two cotton varieties being tested (Ashmouny and Giza 30 ) under a wide variety of experimental conditions. Sowing date exerts a profound effect on the final stand of seedlings of both cotton varieties.
