From results obtained the following conclusions may be drawn: Temp. of irrigation water and at the soil surface reached as high as 34C, 4higher than that of the air up to Aug. 20, after which the atmospheric temp. gradually became higher. The season was rather dry during June and July, but in September there were 170 mm. of rainfall and the rest of the season was normal, averaging 29 mm. rainfall. The moisture content of the soil was 41% while the field was irrigated; at other times, 26-39%.
