Studying the proliferative capacity of hematopoietic cells by means of radioactive indicators during radiation therapy

Studying the proliferative capacity of hematopoietic cells by means of radioactive indicators during radiation therapy

Med Radiol 7(7): 50-57

With the aid of a special isotope technique the proliferative processes during clinical radium therapy and chronic irradiation was studied. For the indication of myeloid cells use was made of biological precursors of DNA, RNA and of hemoglobin, glycine Cl4, P32, Fe59. A reduced proliferative activity of myeloid elements and their disturbed maturation was revealed, this being associated with disturbance of processes of intracellular syntheses.
