Methods for trapping clover between sheets of plywood, recording emergence of larvae by trapping them in a barrier of "Deadline" (Cal. Spray Corp., Portland, Ore.) which is spread around the edge of the card. Sampling populations by shaking host material over a box and laboratory rearing on leaves resting on wet cotton are described.
