Abstract
Hb and red cells counts dropped a few days before symptoms appeared, thereafter closely following the wt. curve. Pathological erythrocytes appeared early with the anemia. During the entire course of the disease a slight leukopenia with a relative diminution in the number of neutrophiles was evident. The number of lymphocytes showed a distinct increase which persisted after treatment, clinical recovery and the return of other factors to normal levels.
