Glycolipides were separated in methanol-ether, and methanol-chloro-form and then subjected to silisic acid column chromatographic frac-tionation which yielded ceramide-oligohexoside and mucolipid. Stroma mucolipides of human, sheep, guinea pig and rabbit contained hexos-amine(s), while those of cat and horse were of the sialic acid type.
