Using the methods, which are described in the first part of this paper (Reiss, 1967b), the following dehydrogenases could be detected cyto-chemically in the fungi Neurospora crassa, Oospora lactis and Saccharo-myces cerevisiae: Embden-Meyerhof pathway: L-glycerol-3-phosphate: NAD oxidoreductase (E.C. 1.1.1.8), alcohol dehydrogenase (E.C. 1.1.1.1), D-lactate: cytochrome c oxidoreductase (E.C. 1.1.2.4), L-lactate: cyto-chrome c oxidoreductase (E.C. 1.1.2.3).
