The determination of the dosage-mortality curve from small numbers
Quarterly Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology 11(2): 192-216
If the % of organisms killed by a given toxic agent is plotted against the dosage, an asymmetric curve is obtained with multicellular forms. Most of these curves can be converted into straight lines by transforming the dosages to logarithms and percentages to a function of the normal curve such as the probit. The present paper is concerned with a description of these corrections and of their application to small series.
