The effect of growth regulating chemical and type of container on the weight loss of Irish cobbler potatoes held at various storage temperatures

The effect of growth regulating chemical and type of container on the weight loss of Irish cobbler potatoes held at various storage temperatures

Proceedings Ann Meet Ohio Veg and Potato Growers Assoc 32: 107-112

A month after harvest, tubers were given 3 commercial naphthaleneacetate treatments. Thereafter, at room temp., or at 38[degree]F, they lost wt. as rapidly as checks. Retardation of sprouting was negligible whether in heavy paper or in open mesh containers.
