The failure of gamma globulin as a prophylactic agent in meningococcal disease



American Journal of Epidemiology 84(1): 156-162



A controlled field study of the use of gammaglobulin as a prophylactic agent for the prevention of meningococcal disease was done. No eiv-dence was obtained that the intramuscular administration of 0.05 ml per pound of body weight of the product was effective.
