Abstract
In continuation of previous work, p-amino benzoic acid and its methyl, ethyl, n-propyl, n-butyl and n-heptyl esters, p-amino diphenyl, 2-, 4-, and 5-(p-amino-phenyl) -thiazol and 3-(p-aminophenyl)-pyridine were found to have salicyl numbers of 0.5, 16, 40, 400, 400, 500, 1600, 800, 400, 2000, and 600, respectively, and the concs. required for total growth inhibition were 4 X 10-4, 1.25 X 10-5, 5 X 10-6, 5 X 10-7, 5 X 10-7, 4 X 10-7, 1.25 X 107, 2.5 X 10-7, 5 X 10-7, 1 X 10-7 and 3.3 X 10-7 Mol./l., respectively.
