Conductivity data detd. in solns. of mixtures of Na2HPO4, MgCl2 and NaCl confirm the incomplete dissociation of MgHPO4 in soln. The data are described by the equation:.[image].At the ionic strength of 0.16, which corresponds to that of extracellular fluids, pK[image] is 1.62. The solubility product, corrected for the incomplete dissociation of MgHP04, is approx. 4.5 at [mu] = 0.16.
