The wild species of Oryza in the Malay Archipelago

The wild species of Oryza in the Malay Archipelago

Blumea : 44-55

ISSN/ISBN: 0006-5196

The structure of the spikelet of Oryza is discussed, the author not accepting Stapf's interpretation of the "apical cup" as 2 rudimentary glumes, holding that there are but 2 glumes, usually small or minute. 5 spp. of the Malay Archipelago, O. granulata, O. meyerianum, O. minuta, O.fatua, and O. ridleyi, are described and keyed out. No specimens are cited.
