In cultures of normal human bone marrow in a medium of 20% horse serum and balanced salt solution, estrone stimulated granulopoiesis; testosterone inhibited fibroblast formation markedly and stimulated erythropoiesis; pred-nisolone inhibited fibroblast formation completely and allowed continued differentiation of all blood elements in smaller numbers.
