Tordon is the trade name for 4-amino-3,5,6-trichloropicolinic acid. Used as a spray at the rate of 2 pounds per acre it effected complete control of wild morning glory and Canada thistle when applied in the early bloom stage. Concentrations of 1 pound per acre are likewise highly effective against milkweed, field horsetail, goldenrod, early dock and yellow oxalis.
