Transmission of Beta virus 2 to plants of N. tabacum with a review of the principal viruses of beet plants

Transmission of Beta virus 2 to plants of N. tabacum with a review of the principal viruses of beet plants

Microbiol Espanol 4(4): 168-181

The 5 Beta viruses were reviewed. Beta 2 virus was transmitted to tobacco plants either by sap or by aphids, Myzus persicae. This was corroborated through challenging sugar beets with material from tobacco plants; typical sugar beet mosaic virus disease developed.
