Variations produced by insulin coma on the action of codeine and morphine on arterial pressure?

Variations produced by insulin coma on the action of codeine and morphine on arterial pressure?

REV ESPAnOLA FISIOL 6(3): 177-180

In dogs in insulin coma the injn. of codeine into the carotid artery produces hypotension preceded by brief hypertension; injn. into the saphenous vein produces only hypotension. Morphine does not produce the initial hypertension. These results are contrasted with those previously reported for dogs under chloralose anesthesia.
