Zur Immunisierung der Rinder gegen Tuberkulose
Deutsche Tierdrztl Wochenschr 40(28): 433-438
3 intracutaneous injections of living virulent bovine tubercle bacilli were given to 89 calves: the 1st injection was 2-4 wks. after birth; the 2nd, 4 wks. later; and the 3rd, after 1 yr. 57 calves were inoculated as controls. Infection was proved by autopsy and by conjunctival tuberculin tests. The exp. was followed for 4 yrs., and it is concluded that the problem of active immunization of cattle against tuberculosis has not been solved.
