A bacterial blight disease of coriander

An undescribed Xanthomonas species (X. corianderi) inciting leaf spot and blight of coriander is described. In inoculation studies it was found to infect fennel (Foeniculum vulgare). The species is closely related to but distinct from X. carotae.
